Reconciliation and Bridging the Gap by Actions

The Bowen Pipeline Company proudly supports the following organisations:

The Bowen Woodies are a passionate group of woodworking and wood-turning enthusiasts who come together every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at their dedicated shed in the Bowen Showgrounds.

The Home Hill Tennis Association was established in 1932.  Both tennis and pickleball are now played at Home Hill Tennis. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the world and is growing quickly in popularity in Queensland. It is like tennis but played on a smaller court with a lighter ball and paddle. Home Hill Tennis have 12 tennis courts and 4 Pickleball courts. The club is unique in that club members and visitors must cross the racetrack to enter the facilities.

We are thrilled to be supporting tennis in the Burdekin, and along with funds from the Queensland Governments Minor Infrastructure Program, our sponsorship will help with the cost of upgrading the club’s amenities to include wheelchair access. The build is currently in progress.

The Bowen Swimming Pool attracts over 68,000 visitors annually and serves as the home base for the Bowen Swimming Club, boasting a 2024 swim team of over 100 young swimmers, aged 6 to 15 years.

Our commitment to preserving local water and boosting the economic prosperity of the Bowen community aligns perfectly with the mission of the Bowen Swimming Pool, which strives to offer a healthy and enjoyable environment where swimmers of all ages can hone their skills. We are proud to support this vital local club by sponsoring a lane, which helps cover the costs of new equipment, club nights, and swim caps.

As proud sponsors of the Bowen Netball Association Inc., we believe in the power of sports to unite and empower individuals. Bowen Netball Association Inc. supports approximately 130 children in 12 teams between the ages from 5 to 14 years, and approximately 81 senior netball players in 9 teams within the A and B division. With over 210 players, including one men’s team, we hope that our sponsorship will contribute to the continued growth and development of the Bowen netball community and promote health, teamwork, and community spirit.

Netball is one of the fastest growing sports worldwide, also making it one of the highest participated sports for juniors and females in the Burdekin. The Bowen Pipeline Company proudly support the Burdekin Netball Association who have a strong history of conducting great fixtures and carnivals for its members, and we hope that our sponsorship will help contribute to further supporting and encouraging the game of netball within the Burdekin district.

The Saltwater Arts Collective (SAC) are a group of Aboriginal, Torres Strait and South Sea Islander artisans from the Whitsunday region who have come together to support each other in their respective interests of visual and performing arts and crafters. The Bowen Pipeline Company proudly supports Saltwater Arts Collectives’ objective to empower and promote the SAC members with the intention to build an arts community that is culturally safe, provide healing processes and stage gatherings that showcase our Indigenous culture.

Farmers today face unprecedented challenges, including harsh climatic conditions, reduced investment, trade wars, tariffs, evolving consumer expectations, and agricultural labour shortages.

The Bowen Pipeline Company proudly supports Thankful4Farmers in bringing together industries, brands, influencers, and consumers in a united effort to amplify awareness and generate scalable funding to support sustainable agriculture and regional communities.

The Bowen Pipeline Company joins with Soldier On Australia to recognise the brave service men and women who have served in the Australian Defence Force. We work closely with Soldier On to identify opportunities that build resilient individuals capable of developing and expanding meaningful connection with family, community and employers, and have pledged our support to the service community, particularly in relation to employment opportunities that may arise from our transformative project.
